What is the best ssri for anxiety reddit

Best ssri for anxiety? I suffer from both anxiety and depression. Right now I'm on prozac and for a bit it seemed to help my depression but hasn't done much for my anxiety which is kind of the root of my depression. The best way I would describe it is Zoloft helped me to say yes to going to a party but when I was there I still felt anxious and generally uncomfortable. 2 level 1 marty_thomas Op · 5y OK, so I was prescribed Lexapro due to my experience with Zoloft last year. That said, I do better with whatever class of drug Bupropion is (can't recall offhand). Vote. level 2. ChloeZoe92.

For context I have been on citalopram for 5+ years and while it has helped my depression it has done little for my anxiety. Press J to jump to the feed. Press question mark to learn the rest of the keyboard shortcuts From all the SSRIs that you've taken, which one has been "the best"? Here a list with all the SSRIs: Citalopram. Escitalopram. Fluoxetine. Fluvoxamine. Paroxetine. Sertraline. We can also count in the following drugs: Venlafaxine (Effexor) Desvenlafaxine (Pristiq) Duloxetine (Cymbalta) Vilazodone (Viibryd) Vortioxetine (Trintellix) As boring as this must sound, I feel like SSRIs are the best drug for me. A lot of people attribute MDMA or Weed or something else to be their wonder drug, but that stuff just doesn't affect me the same way that Sertraline HCL did for me. It literally kills all of my anxiety, and allows me to focus on stuff I want to do. Citalopram, Zoloft and Lexapro are the three most tolerated medications in trials, meaning they have the fewest dropouts due to undesirable side effects and the most adherence from trial subjects. Which medication works for you is very personal and difficult to predict - they're all "good" and simultaneously terrible depending on who's taking them.
